Miracle at Bennett Project Now Underway!

Project Scope:

·        Paved parking lot and walkways.

·        A rubberized field for Miracle League.

·        A transformed #5 field that will be used by TBR 13 yr olds and ETLL.

·        A reworked TBR field #1 infield and a new outfield wall configuration.

·        Grass everywhere there isn’t asphalt or playing field.

·        A new 3D field between 3B and 3C.

·        New safety netting.

·        A new maintenance shed / field crew office.

·        Removal of the current maintenance shed / field crew office.

·        Retaining walls as specified by the City of Minnetonka.

·        Eco-friendly drainage systems as specified by the City of Minnetonka.

·        Many new trees and plantings.

·        Planters throughout BFP.

Bennett Family Park Mission Statement

BFP’s mission is to provide a family oriented safe environment available for ALL youth of our community to play the games of baseball and softball. In the process they will learn the concept of teamwork and the energy that comes from the pursuit of a common goal. Our long term goal is to continue to provide tournament quality fields for the players and a memorable experience the entire family will cherish as families have done for over 50 years.  To do so, BFP will continually manage and improve the facilities entrusted to the park's board to maximize the amount and quality of team play demonstrating equal treatment to all of it's tenant leagues.

****A message from The Bennett Family Park Board ****

Bennett Family Park, Inc. is a non-profit corporation that owns and operates the land, buildings, and ball fields at Bennett Park. The Park is run by an all-volunteer Board of Directors that meets once per month. The Board has made many decisions over the past few years to improve the Park. We are striving to do better. We welcome your involvement in the decisions to improve and operate the Park. We invite you to join the Board.

All Board of Directors' terms expire at the end of December of 2009. After many years of volunteering, some of our volunteers will be leaving the Board at the end of their term. Others are willing to step aside and do other duties at the Park if someone new expresses an interest or skill for a particular position. In addition, we have other positions "open" that have never been filled, but need attention to help make the Park better.
